PRIVATE RESIDENCE
WET ROOM, LONDON
The brief for this project was to build a luxury wet room and sauna
in the clients Georgian house basement. The space to be utilised
was the old coal hole and store room.
Natural honed limestone tiles were used on the walls and floor of
the wetroom and into the floor of the sauna. All of the chrome fixtures
and fittings were kept simple in style. The look has a clean modern
feel accentuated by the simple white ceramic cone shaped basin set
on a limestone plinth. The bright chrome fixtures are deliberately
left exposed to add to the honesty of this design. The shower tray,
too, was carved out of a huge slab of limestone, and this was set
into the floor level to keep the continuity of the design running
throughout.
