HEPTONSTALL RESIDENCE, HEBDEN BRIDGE
The brief for this residential lounge was to re-decorate completely
and bring up to date in colour & style. The desired effect was to
achieve a cleaner more modern look, but to also remain sympathetic
to the age of the property - being a seventeenth centure weavers
cottage.
The original scheme was
about 12 years old, so all new furniture was required. The main
object was to brighten the room, but to also use calmer colours,
and to dispense with the old green & burgundy of the suite upholstery.
CH Design designed and
commissioning the new leather sofa, hide in Luxor Peat. New furniture
was chosen in polished natural oak. Neutral olives and creams were
used to decorate the walls and a special dye Drysdale wool carpet
in a warm honey colour was chosen for the floor. Finishing details
were in the bespoke designed rug, incorperating the main colours
from the scheme, and natural raw silk curtains.
CH Design managed the
project.
